Placeholder — pending editorial hires. This profile describes the role Compare HVAC Pro is hiring against. The person named above is not yet a real contributor; the credentials and focus areas are the bar we’ll hire to. Bylines on this site already point here so the routing is in place, but until a real hire is onboarded, treat this page as scaffolding rather than a verified human byline. About

Ken is the floor on technical accuracy. Every cost, emergency, and safety page on the site passes his desk before publication, and he has authority to block anything he can't substantiate against a primary source (manufacturer spec sheet, ASHRAE standard, code reference). After 25 years in residential and light-commercial HVAC — from straight-cool tract homes to VRF retrofits — he has seen every shortcut a contractor can take to hide cost in a quote, and every place a homeowner can get burned by a "good deal."

His review bar is simple. If the page tells a homeowner to do something that could hurt them or damage their equipment, the instruction has to be verifiable against the manufacturer's install manual or a published code. If it quotes a cost range, the range has to be sourced from our live benchmarks, not from what other publishers are writing. If it names a failure mode, it has to name the symptom correctly — "blower motor" when we mean "blower motor," not "AC unit." Ken's sign-off is the difference between content and liability.
